Since its establishment in 1966, Shin Hai
Gas Corp. has provided
customers with safe and convenient gas supply under the
guiding principle of "absolute
safety and satisfaction-guaranteed services." Over
the years,
the company has steadily upgraded its equipment and
facilities
to lay a solid foundation for ongoing growth.

Shin Hai Gas supplies natural gas to about
260,000 household
and business customers in the Taipei County cities of
Sanchong,
Banqiao and Xinzhuang. The company was publicly listed on
the
Taiwan Stock Exchange (TAIEX) in April 1998.

| In 2000, Shin Hai Gas acquired German
technology to embed
optical fibers in its gas pipelines. It was also licensed at
that time to provide Category 1 telecommunication circuit
leasing services. The fiber optic system is used partly for
safety monitoring of gas supply and partly for leasing to
communication service providers. In future, the company will
continue to improve performance by offering customers a more
comprehensive range of products and even higher quality
services. |
